Update

I have hired a camera which I will be sharing with Sam Shaw for over the half term were we shall help each other film the remaining footage of our videos. I shall then come back to college and get my footage edited into my trailer and also begin putting pictures into the ancillary texts.

Within my trailer there is an image I have taken where you can see me in the forground and 'Slender' in the background. As you can see in my image I am wearing a T-shirt that says 'Franky says Keep me nut daan' which is used as instead of the protagonist getting involved in this game which has lead to him being stalked he should of just kept his head down and not got involved with what could potentially lead to his death. It also shows a pair of glass doors which shows that 'Slender' is only stalking the protagonist as there is something inbetween them so it can't get to him, however they're glass doors which means that it can see him and stalk him but not hurt him yet.

Fonts for the trailer and ancillary texts

When looking what font to use for my trailer and ancillary texts I had a look at the website, www.dafont.com and on this website was a lot of different fonts in which you can use. I narrowed down all of these to the three I liked the best which were.

All of these styles are very similar, I chose this type of style because it's like it is handwritten therefore it makes it that little bit more freakier as it looks like Slender has actually written it himself.

My preferred one is figure 3. as I think that one looks the freakiest and it also stands out the most therefore I think it will increase the audience of the film.

Production diary

I am collecting a camera on the 29/11/12 and then filming from that day until 2/12/12 as I have to hand the camera back in on the 3/12/12.

29/11/12 - Today I am picking up the camera in order to film over the weekend, I can't film tonight though as I am at work.

30/11/12 - I am going to start filming when I get home from college which will be about 16:30, on this day I am hoping to film the scenes that will only have myself in them or the ones that have nobody in them due to the other actors having other commitments.

1/12/12 - On this day I am hoping to get the majority of the day time filming done as that will need to be done whilst it is light and at this time of the year day light is very limited and therefore I have to give my self as much time as possible to get these shots done, with this in mind I will be filming from around 9:00 till 15:00 because I am at work in the evening therefore will need to stop filming in order to get ready

2/12/12 - This will be my last day of filming for this weekend, this will be the day that the shots of all the friends on the night time will be taken, I will be shooting from  around 15:00 - the time it takes to get all of my shots done correctly, due to all of us having no other commitments it makes it easier to shoot all day.

3/12/12 - This is the day that I will be handing the camera back, it is also the day that I will upload all of my footage onto the editing suite and start my editing.

14/12/12 - I was able to take a camera away for this weekend and film my trailer. Unfortunately I could not film on the night however because I had fallen ill and therefore went to bed early which meant I couldn't film this night.

15/12/12 - Unfortunately I was still very ill on this day and again was unable to film due to me being in bed all day, this meant that I had already restricted my filming time down massively.

16/12/12 - I did start to feel a little better today but I was still not well enough to film which means that this weekend which I was planning to film on has been wasted as I have to hand the camera in tomorrow.

17/12/12 - My Mum said not to come into college today because I still don't feel/look great, however I have decided to come in as I can't afford to miss lessons at this point and I also had to hand the camera back in. I am planning to talk to my teacher during my lesson at 2:50 and I also plan to borrow the camera on Tueday and Wednesday as I finish college early on both of these days and I am therefore going to use this opportunity to catch up on the time I missed out on due to illness over the weekend.

19/12/12 - Due to there being no cameras available for tuesday night I was unable to film, I am taking a camera out tonight so that I can get the majority of my filming done.

20/12/12 - I filmed last night and got a lot of footage, I managed to film most of the opening sequence, and I also got a lot of the shots of Slender outside whilst the lighting wasn't to dark. I also got a few more shots that were able to be taken during last night.

Soundtracks for my Trailer

This may be included within the trailer because it has that eerie and creepy type of sound within it, and that is one of the conventions within horrors and therefore if I am to create a good portrayal of a horror within my trailer I must stick to the conventions.




I am also looking for a fast paced loud sound so that when my film trailer goes into the action sequence it can then get the fast tempo in order to create the right scene.
 

There are some points within this sound that could act as the drop into the action as it starts slow and then it goes very high pitched and then drops which would be a great lead into the action parts.

 

This music would go well for when the action starts and we start to get more shots faster and shorter, I believe it would fit in nicely to my trailer.

Changes to the storyline

Due to the difficulty of getting everyone together at the same time to film for my trailer, I have decided to tweak the storyline so that instead of the protagonist inviting his friends round and thats how he finds out about the game 'Slender', the way he finds out about the game is through a skype call with his friend, the friend will reccomend the game and that is how he will decide to play the game.

1st time filming, shots that went wrong

This shot will need reshooting as I didn't have a tripod and therefore the shot isn't still so in order for the shot to be successful I will have to shoot it with a tripod.
 

This shot has been shot as a mid shot when it would look a lot better as a close up and therefore i'm going to reshoot it so that the shot is better.
